Wine is a heavy, fragile, and perishable product that is subject to regulatory shipping fees and as a result a cost is incurred to transport it safely and compliantly across the country. Dehlinger does not profit off of shipping charges - in fact, the shipping charges applied are somewhat below the cost to the winery. One guideline we can offer the customer is that it is generally most economical on a per-bottle basis to order in full case increments (in other words, shipping only a few bottles has a higher per bottle cost than shipping 12 bottles at a time). Our offered 10% case discount often is equivalent to the cost of the shipping.

You must ship your order to an address where an adult (21+) will be present to sign for delivery. A business address with consistent daytime business hours may be the best option and tends to give the most satisfactory receiving experience. 


You will be notified by email when your wines are shipped. In effort to protect your wine, please be aware that your order may be held for proper weather and shipping conditions.

Due to ever changing direct-shipping laws and regulations, the list of states that we ship to may change at any time.

Wine returns are a complex issue.  If there is a problem with your order, please call the winery to discuss your particular situation.
