2017 Altamont Pinot noir 1.5L
Magnum bottle from our wine library, aged in optimal cellar conditions at the winery. This bottling is a showcase of Pinot noir originating from the red soil on the highest elevation portions of the Dehlinger ranch. Dense and spicy from hilltop exposure and whole cluster inclusion, this Pinot noir was aged in large part in 132-gallon oak puncheons to emphasize its potency. It has a heady perfume of herbes de Provence, violets, and black cherry. Very spicy, reminiscent of cinnamon and black tea leaf. When customers ask how long to age our Pinot noir, we often recommend enjoying the variety at 6 to 8 years past the vintage date - here is your opportunity to experience a perfectly mature Pinot noir in festive magnum format!
