2021 East Face Syrah

From our three acres of Syrah grown on the Estate, we conduct half a dozen fermentations annually, each expressing the personality of the varied soil that marbles across the block. Our most prized section we refer to as the ‘East Face’. Depending on the vintage, we either blend it into our Altamont Syrah or—in the most compelling cases—craft it into a stand-alone bottling. The 2021 vintage of ‘East Face Syrah’ is truly special. It shows the most intriguing aromas and flavors of the variety (black olives, bacon, ripe berries) combined with engaging, almost ethereal, tannins.
